Warpstead

Installing the beta

The Warpstead beta is free for Windows 10 and 11 until November 30, 2026. It’s in the Microsoft Store: Microsoft checks it and signs it before it’s published, so it installs like any other Store app.

What you need

Install it

  1. Open Warpstead’s page in the Microsoft Store, or search for Warpstead in the Store app.
  2. Click Get or Install.
  3. Start Warpstead from the Start menu.

What “beta” means here

Until November 30

The beta works until November 30, 2026, and reminds you two weeks before. When it ends, it shows a closing screen with a button that opens your workspaces folder. Your workspaces and files stay on your disk, untouched.

To check the date, the beta asks a few well-known public websites for the current time. Nothing about you or your files is sent.

Founder price: €49 instead of €79

When the beta ends, early access opens with a founder license at €49, paid once, VAT included in the EU. At version 1.0, the full release, the price becomes €79, so buying during early access saves you €30. Everyone who tried the beta keeps the founder price: during the beta the app asks you to register your PC and leave your email, so we can recognise you when early access opens. Outside Europe the prices are in US dollars: $55 for the founder license, $89 from version 1.0, and renewals at $21 and $33.

Removing it

Open Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps, and uninstall Warpstead. Like every Store app, it takes its own data with it, and that includes your workspaces. Your files and folders on the canvas aren’t touched.

To keep your workspaces, copy them before you uninstall. In File Explorer, go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages, open the folder whose name contains Warpstead, then LocalCache\Roaming\com.warpstead.
